ASQB

Supply and Installation of new child window safety devices

ASQB is proud to be Australia's leading child window safety experts

Introduced in 2013, the NSW Child Window Safety Legislation made it mandatory for Owners’ Corporations to install child window safety devices to all high-risk windows in their property or risk personal liability.

Having installed window safety devices in over 100,000 homes, and backed by over twenty years of residential and commercial construction experience, ASQB has been at the forefront of window safety compliance since this legislation was introduced.

We are committed to helping strata managers, owners’ corporations and property managers meet their ongoing legal obligations, and our fully skilled technicians, and administration team, are highly experienced at managing a diverse range of window safety compliance projects.

2

Supply And Install of Devices

Once works are approved, our team will manage the roll out from start to finish, this includes providing our clients with a detailed execution plan of works.

For full building compliance we will schedule your installation with approx. 3 weeks’ notice to residents, who can book a preferred timeslot for the given installation date. Our technicians will then carry out the installation with minimal disruption to residents.

Where a 3-week notice period to residents is not required (i.e single dwellings), these jobs will be booked into the next schedule availability

3

Compliance Certification

Compliance certificates are issued for each residence we attend, providing our clients with a signed record of all legislative requirements being met.

Our compliance certificates include photographic and location descriptive evidence of each window safety device installed. They are time and date stamped, and ASQB also keeps a record on hand for future reference, if required.

*Our installations are fully compliant with NSW legislation and include a functionality assessment and force testing

When does a window require a child window safety device?

If the window sill is less than 1.7m above the internal floor, and that floor is 2m or more above the external surface outside, a window safety device must be installed.
